That “4th” trimester is a very transitional time in a new moms life.  Not only are you adjusting to life with a brand new tiny human, you’re also trying to figure out your new postpartum body.  We’re here to help you along that journey.

Introducing Diapers & Dumbbells, a postpartum fitness class designed to help new mothers safely return to exercise, connect with other new moms, and develop the strength they need to support their growing babies. This one-hour class focuses on postpartum rehabilitation, restorative exercises, strength training, and conditioning.

Our Diapers & Dumbbells programming is done with the postpartum woman in mind. Regardless of where you are in your postpartum journey, we can provide a workout that is going to be appropriate, and safe, for you. Classes are open to mothers of all fitness levels and their pre-crawling/pre-walking babies. We provide staffed childcare in the same space for the duration of the class. This is an opportunity to work on your fitness while we care for your baby!

Additionally, our facility includes 4 private shower rooms that may serve as a private nursing, pumping, or diaper-changing station.  So there is no need to stress about needing to tend to your baby at any point during your time at the gym.

Along with yourself and your new little bundle, we recommend that you bring your typical baby changing supplies as well as a blanket to lay your baby on and/or a stroller so that they can be comfortable and easily wheeled around the gym during class.  You never know, we may use them in one of your workouts as an adorable added bit of resistance!!

Each class will include dedicated time to breathing, core and pelvic floor work, which is vital to ensure your body recovers properly. This program is about more than weight loss after baby. It’s about learning how to work with your postpartum body so that you can feel strong, confident and have FUN working out.

(Please note, this class is only appropriate for mothers who have been cleared for exercise by their doctors and are at least 5 weeks postpartum.)
